Downtown Saturday Night in Iowa City: Kevin BF Burt & Big Medicine - There’s no place better than downtown Iowa City during the summer! Back for its third year — great entertainment on Saturdays on the Ped Mall. Dr. Jim Wand: Penguins Comedy Club - The Hypnosis Agency. He has been involved in the field of hypnosis for over 25 years. Dr. Wand holds a Ph.D. in the field of psychology, has over 6,000 professional engagements to his credit and is considered to be one of the most professional hypnotic entertainers in the world today.


Woof Walk ~ Dog Walk and Fun Fest: Leash 'em up and lace 'em up! The Cedar Valley Humane Society’s second annual fun fest is at Noelridge Park (just north of the Noelridge pool parking lot). You can walk as an individual or get together with family members, friends, or co-workers and walk as a team! A team of four or more qualifies as a Dog Pack. Cruisin’ for Camp Courageous: Presented by the Cedar Valley Street Rods, the event is one of Iowa’s largest charity car shows and features hundreds of show cars, race cars and trucks. This a family event includes auctions, food, music antiques and a craft show. The Cedar Rapids Spirits dance squad will perform at noon. Gems of Hope Bike Ride: In conjunction with Houby Days, a three mile family bike ride along the Cedar Valley Trails begins at Greene Square Park to Cedar Lake and back. For the bike enthusiasts, a 20+ mile bike ride beginning at Greene Square Park riding south along the Cedar Valley Trails to Ely and back, with a poker run option.
