Second Annual 2012 Jean Seberg International Film Festival is set for November 8 – 11, at the IVCCD Orpheum Theater Center in Marshalltown, Iowa. The four-day celebration of Jean Seberg’s life will once again capture the essence and being of the world-renowned actress from Marshalltown. Mark your calendars so you get a chance to celebrate Jean’s journey and transformation from Marshalltown girl, to Hollywood icon, and French heroine. Schedule and ticket information can be found at This second annual event will include some of the favorites from last year’s festival but will feature a lot of new material as well. This year will feature 15 films, two symposiums, a second screening room, special guests including Seberg family members, and two international speakers from London. Though it is a new year and a new experience, the goal of the festival still remains the same: to tell the story of the talented Marshalltown actress who touched the lives of many here in town, across the country and throughout the world.  The details “We are pleased to announce an exciting and full schedule with international guests that will make the second annual festival a ‘must see’ for our community and visitors from around the country. The Festival begins onThursday, Nov. 8, at 6:45 pm with a Red Carpet Event hosted by the Orpheum Theater Guild, followed by opening ceremonies at 7 pm and the showing of Saint Joan at 7:30 pm. The day will end with a ticketed After Party in the Orpheum Black Box Theater. Events on Friday, Nov. 9, include showings of Bonjour Tristesse (10:30 am and 4 pm) and Lilith (1:30 pm and 8 pm) in the Seberg Theater next to the exhibit, plus Breathless (11:00 am), A Fine Madness (2 pm), and The Mouse that Roared (7 pm) in the main Movie House. The Seberg Exhibit will open at 10 am and remain open all day until 10 pm. In addition to the films and exhibit is the “Seberg Legacy Road Tour,” a bus tour that puts you right into the shoes of the beloved star. On Saturday, Nov. 10, there will be two unique symposiums; the first is titled, Jean Seberg: International Icon, at 11 am – 12:30 pm and the second is Movie Star: The Secret Lives of Jean Seberg, at 5 pm – 6 pm. From 10 – 10:50 am, Seberg TV Interviews will be playing in the Seberg Theater. Films for the day include repeat showings of Breathless (1 pm), A Fine Madness (3 pm), The Mouse that Roared (6:30 pm) in the Seberg Theater, plus the feature presentation of Paint Your Wagon (8 pm) in the Movie House. Saturday’s bus tour is set for 2 – 3 pm with the exhibit open again from 10 am – 10 pm. On Sunday, Nov. 11, the Seberg TV Interviews will be running from 10 am – 10:50 am and also from 11:30 am – 12:20 pm in the Seberg Theater. A closing ceremony will take place at 2 pm in the Movie House with the showing of the film ‘Moment to Moment’ and the exhibit will officially close at 4 pm.
