Do you know "Saved by The Bell's" AC Slater's real first name was? What did Beyonce and JayZ name their baby? Which president had the first televised inauguration? The Cedar Rapids/Marion Area YMCA's annual TrivYa Night is a chance to test your knowledge of all things trivial. That information is taking up space in your brain. Why not put it to use. TrivYa Night will be Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids. Teams, who decorate their table and dress in costume around a theme, of 10 compete to correctly answer questions ranging from local to national and pop culture to the obscure. "We just really want people to have fun," says Todd Hirst, Director of Marketing & Membership Development at the YMCA. "It's really unique." The event maybe be a fundraiser -- funds raised go to membership scholarships for children, families and individuals -- but Hirst says the evening is anything but a formal black-tie fundraising event. "It can get raucous," he says. The overall winning and losing team will receive a trophy. Other teams are eligible for other prizes. Past prizes have included a party bus rental, suites at the Rough Riders and Kernels, hotel stays and private jewelry parties. Individual tickets are $50, but teams of 10 are encouraged to register. A table of 10 is $500. Tickets include appetizers and some adult beverages (while it lasts). There is also a cash bar. Register online by Feb. 15.
