Boiled, Baked & Brewed Recipe Competition

Art and food come together in this culinary competition. To participate, visit the University of Iowa Museum of Art’s Facebook page, and click on the “Boiled, Baked & Brewed Recipe Competition!” photo album, where images of various artwork in the museum’s collection are posted. Respond to one of the pieces of art with a recipe, snap a photo, and post it in the comments. Entrants with the most “likes” by Dec. 1 will be invited to make and share their culinary creations at the Boiled Baked Brouhaha on Dec. 14 at Public Space One in Iowa City. The top 10 recipes at the event will be reinterpreted by Iowa City Press Co-op artists and included in a hand-printed, limited-edition cookbook. This event accompanies the UIMA Legacies for Iowa exhibition “Boiled, Baked & Brewed,” on view at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport from December 2017 through April 2018.
