Event Description

The Marion Heritage Center will open its doors for the sixteenth annual Art by Your Friends and Neighbors art show from 10AM to 5PM on Saturday, May 20.  This year’s exhibit will feature over 50 works of art by area artists - mostly Marion residents, including drawings, photography, sculptures, watercolor, oil and pastel renderings.  Many of the works will be offered for sale.  As in the past, Opening Day admission will be FREE thanks to the sponsorship of Hills Bank and Trust Company.

Exhibit chairman, Jay Kacena noted that last year’s show attracted over 700 visitors and said, "There are lot of talented people in our town and a strong interest by others who enjoy seeing what they can do.”

Visitors will be encouraged to vote for their favorite work, and cash prizes, courtesy of Hills Bank, will be awarded at the end of the show for the three most popular artists.  The show will run through July 29th, with admission free courtesy of the McIntyre Foundation.
