Is There LIFE in There? Retreat at Prairiewoods
- 6:30 - 1 p.m.
- $180 – $230
- All Ages
In this age of deep ambivalence about humanity’s future, seekers find consolation in listening for signs of emergent life! This weekend retreat at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) will draw on the wisdom of contemplative practice and enter into the deep listening posture that winter engenders. As a spiritual explorer, you will meet hope and generativity in the unfolding of convergent consciousness. Learn how to be fully present to others and all of creation, to engage in active listening, to drop down deeply into the center of your own consciousness, and to awaken to what lies at the core: the very inter-connection you crave most ardently. When you embrace rather than dismiss paradox and hold in tension what seems mutually exclusive, something more creative, attractive and complex is born. You will be compelled to embody a new way of being. Come seeking life! Ellen Bruckner is a facilitator skilled in the “Art of Hosting” and emergent dialogue. Ann Jackson, PBVM, and Laura Weber are spiritual directors on staff at Prairiewoods who delight in co-creating retreats focused on conscious emergence. The cost of this weekend retreat is $230 and includes sessions, lodging and all meals. The commuter fee is $180 and includes sessions, Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch. A non-refundable deposit of $25 is required at registration. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
