Specifically planned for toddlers or young preschoolers. The same program is performed Mondays and Tuesdays each week. Ideal for young children with short attention spans who need short stories, fingerplays, and action rhymes.
On February 5, in honor of Black History Month, join us for a storytime celebration of the classic children's book The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. Published in 1962, The Snowy Day was the first mainstream picture book to feature an African-American protagonist. We'll read the book and enjoy some songs and rhymes celebrating the wonder of snow.
On February 19, storytime will utilize a discovery trunk from the African American Museum to explore some elements of African American music. Join us to go "behind the beat" with toddler-friendly stories, songs, and rhymes.
