Event Description

Electric Vehicles (EVs) like the Nissan LEAF or Chevy Volt run on electricity. EVs have less than 75 percent of gas car maintenance while being quiet and exhilarating to drive! Buying electricity is like getting fuel for $1/gal. With solar panels, you can make your own, clean, car energy. The instructor spent $4200 for 25 years of solar car "fuel." A used electric car can cost about $10,000 with very low miles; the perfect second car! Come prepared to ask any question. Explained by renewable energy author Marc Franke, driving on solar electricity since 2013.
