The Jitney Wine Bar Description

A cozy yet sophisticated wine boutique with an embracing, un-intimidating atmosphere. The Jitney was the nickname of the Milwaukee Railroad passenger train that traveled from Calmar to Cedar Rapids at the turn of the century until around 1980. The one-of-a kind bar top is a miniature replica of a train track, including all the towns The Jitney stopped through! While enjoying our unique bar, our guests can choose from a respectable wine list, a vast array of craft beers, and eclectic cocktails. Our food menu will exemplify the palate with assorted fine smoked meats such as prime rib, beef brisket, chicken and ribs with mouth watering sides. We also serve a diverse list of charcuterie plates, artisan cheeses, marinated olives, gourmet popcorn, flatbread pizzas, and toasted sandwiches. There is something for everyone! We love to entertain with live music every other Saturday, Karaoke, wine and beer classes/tastings, comedy night and more.
