Comprehensive Planning Guide
<p>Planning ahead as a caregiver can help reduce stress by making sure you and others know what to do in the event of a change in condition of your loved one or yourself. Join Center Volunteers, Laura Sagers and Paula Burgmeier along with Attorney Mark Van Huekelom to create your own comprehensive plan, gather and organize personal and legal documents, and discuss your wishes to help you be prepared for your future. There will be three sessions, each covering different topics and a fourth follow up question and answer session. Pre-register by September 25. If you aren't able to attend the series, but interested in developing a contingency plan or completing a guide, we're happy to meet with you individually. Active Allyship and Creating a Welcoming Environment
<p>National Coming Out Day is on October 11! Join CR Pride as we discuss how government agencies, non profits, and religious institutions are creating and maintaining a welcoming environment. We hope you will join us to hear and learn about these organizations and how we can all work to create welcoming environments. Arts and Antiques in Amana
<p>This special weekend is dedicated to our Arts & Antiques!</p><p>There will be some special events centered around both as our Amana Heritage Museum is planning a special exhibit,<em> Amana Art Through the Generations</em>. You’ll want to visit our art galleries to see the latest offerings.</p><p>Are you interested in antiques? The Amana Colonies have some of the finest Antique Shops in the Midwest. Six of our antique shops will be participating in a Vintage Stroll! Pick up a brochure at the Amana Visitor Center and visit at least 5 of the antique shops listed on the stroll. Sensory Friendly Halloween
<p>Join us for a special Halloween-themed Sensory Friendly Night! As part of our HalloWEEKEND activities, this free event offers sensory-friendly activities in a calmer environment and opportunities to collect treats in our museum exhibits.</p><p>Costumes are encouraged (but not required!) as you look for our “treat stations” throughout the museum. In line with the Teal Pumpkin Project, all treats will be small non-food items to avoid allergy concerns.
