Make and Craft Afternoon
<p>Sample three different crafts in one day while checking out the library's maker technology. Try out macramé, 3D printing, and jewelry making with the Glowforge.</p><p>Craft activities are designed for adult or teens and may be too difficult for children.</p><p>Embrace the boho aesthetic and vintage vibes, learn some basic macramé knots, and create a mini wall hanging.</p><p>Learn about the 3D printer as you watch it make a planter, then pick out a 3D-printed planter to paint and take home. Prairiewoods Knitters & Stitchers
<p>Practice knitting and stitching in the company of new friends! This is a group of crafters of various skill levels who create handmade goods for charity at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha). New participants are always welcome, including those who are new to knitting and crocheting. Together we create hats, mittens, blankets and baby items for charity. Grab your needles and join us! This group meets in person on the second Tuesday morning and fourth Wednesday evening of each month. The group is free, and registration is not necessary. ICCGS Workshop Friday Night Out - Hand Build A Black Cat
<p><strong>Friday Night Out: Black Cat</strong></p><p>Come in after a long week and get creative! Gather your friends and/or partner and join us for a fun Friday Night Out—for 21 and over only. Participants may BYOB. </p><p>NEW PROJECT for 2023! In this workshop you will create a 4”x4” Black Cat using slab building techniques with Resident Artist, Emma Burnett. Participants will cut pieces of clay to create a hollow cat that is free standing. Participants will then paint their cats using ceramic glazes to bring their cat to life’.
