Event Description

“I tell you, if they keep quiet, even the stones will cry out” (Luke 19:40). Do you feel like you’re shouldering the boulder up the mountain—without time for reflection and deepening? Come to Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road) for an opportunity to balance the heaviness within with what gives grounding, inspires expansiveness and reflects light! We will explore the meditative processes of creating cairns and stone mandalas as a way into our deeper selves. What do we want to let go of or leave behind? Grief, wisdom and creativity play a role in our transformation. What is crying out to be heard, even if we keep silent? As we shift into a new paradigm for healing and transformation, feminine energy and balance enter, enlivening the new story of inter-being. We will re-create and co-create. No art experience is necessary for these simple, relaxing, creative processes; all that is required is a disposition of openness. The stones invite us to playfulness and deep reflection. Come hear what they are shouting! This 24-hour retreat will be facilitated by Prairiewoods staff members Andi Lewis, Emelia Sautter and Laura Weber. The cost is $180 and includes sessions, Friday lodging and all Saturday meals. (Lodging is strongly encouraged.) The commuter fee is $150 and includes Saturday lunch and dinner. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
