Event Description

[Insight @ FPC CR] The Crusades - The Fourth Crusade

This series examines the causes, events and legacy of the Crusades: the attempt of a barbaric group to violently establish a new state in the name of God. These events still influence Muslim attitudes toward the West and current world politics.

This session, the fourth and final in our series, will be on the Fourth Crusade: Constantinople’s fall in the thirteenth century ended Crusading. Our presenter and discussion leader, Michael Bryant, holds a Master’s degree in Medieval history, is a Management and Program Analyst at U.S. Department of Education and remains an avid historian.

Please join us from 9 am to 10 am in the Wernimont Room at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Cedar Rapids. These sessions are free and open to the public.
