Event Description

The Marion Heritage Center & Museum will open its newest exhibition The Collins Story: On the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing, Saturday, July 13, 2019.  The greatest achievement in history, landing men on the moon, took the work of thousands, but it would have been impossible if one man, Arthur Collins, had not dedicated his life to perfecting radio communication and building the company that invented space communication and has brought us the voice and pictures of every astronaut for 50 years, the Collins Radio Company.  Brought to you in collaboration with the Arthur A. Collins Legacy Association.

On Sunday, July 14 at 1:30 to 3:30 pm., Donald Gurnett, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Iowa program:  From the Dawn of the Space Age to Edge of the Solar System.
