Event Description

Gift your family with quality time together this summer. Come to Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) to learn techniques to reflect and cultivate mindfulness and compassion and become better communicators within your family and beyond. These two days will offer family campers simple, fun, mindful activities that bring together mindfulness meditation, self-compassion, deep breathing, relaxation, creative movement, the arts and reflective walks in nature. It will be facilitated by Kim Seward, BSN, RN, CMI, and Prairiewoods staff. Due to COVID-19, we hope to host an abbreviated version of the original camp. All activities will be held outside. We require every participant to wear a mask and sustain appropriate social distancing. The cost is $40 per family and includes a simple picnic lunch and handouts for families to take home to practice mindfulness. Scholarships are available. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at or 319-395-6700.
