On March 17, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds declared a statewide public health disaster emergency in response to the state's coronavirus outbreak. The proclamation includes the restriction of in-person gatherings of 10 or more people along with the temporary closing of several businesses in the arts, culture and entertainment sector.

Most of the public gatherings listed on the Hoopla calendar are canceled or postponed through the end of April. Please check with event organizers to confirm the status of events you see listed.

Event Description

Do you like to volunteer, like Genealogy, or History?  Give a little of your time, and join us on the first Monday of each month (unless a holiday, or bad weather)

The purpose for this day is to invite volunteers to work on library projects to preserve our precious resources.  We are not open to the public., this is not a research day, but a day to help organize the library.  Stay as little or long as you wish and bring a lunch.

Our monthly volunteer work day session will be on Monday,  from 10–4 at our location in the lower level of the Masonic Building at 813 1st Ave. S.E.

Parking is available in the rear. Please enter through the back door.
