On March 17, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds declared a statewide public health disaster emergency in response to the state's coronavirus outbreak. The proclamation includes the restriction of in-person gatherings of 10 or more people along with the temporary closing of several businesses in the arts, culture and entertainment sector.

Most of the public gatherings listed on the Hoopla calendar are canceled or postponed through the end of April. Please check with event organizers to confirm the status of events you see listed.

Event Description

The Family Caregivers Center of Mercy will hold an educational session on Gratitude and Self Care at the Hall Perrine Community Rooms A & B at 701 10th St SE, Cedar Rapids. Join us quarterly in 2020 as we explore the concept of gratitude and how it relates to self-care.  Learn and practice various self-care techniques.  Explore how to find    gratitude in your day-to-day caregiving.  Come connect with others and share what you do to take care of yourself.  Conversation will be facilitated by Kathy Good, Center Director, and Abby Martin, Center Manager. 

Registration is required.  A free boxed lunch is included.  Please let us know of any dietary restrictions when registering.
