Event Description

Join Metta Yoga instructor Cheryl Lindo for a quarterly restorative yoga class at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) for deep relaxation. A restorative yoga sequence typically involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow us to completely relax and rest. Held for five minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds and gentle backbends. During the long holds of restorative yoga, our muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than our own muscles, are used to support our body. Restorative classes are very mellow, making them a good complement to more active practices (as well as our busy lives) and an excellent antidote to stress. Stillness is a powerful practice! This class will be held in lieu of the normally scheduled gentle/beginners class this evening. The cost for all Metta Yoga classes is $60 for a 6-punch card or $99 for an 11-punch card. Bring a friend to try their first class for free and get a free class for yourself! For more information or to register, contact Carla at or 319-533-3772.
