On March 17, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds declared a statewide public health disaster emergency in response to the state's coronavirus outbreak. The proclamation includes the restriction of in-person gatherings of 10 or more people along with the temporary closing of several businesses in the arts, culture and entertainment sector.

Most of the public gatherings listed on the Hoopla calendar are canceled or postponed through the end of April. Please check with event organizers to confirm the status of events you see listed.

Grab your blankets and head to Veterans Memorial Stadium and enjoy the Freedom Festival’s Movie Night at the Ballpark--returning Friday, June 19 at 7 PM! (Gates open at 6 PM) 


There is nothing like watching a great movie under the stars. That's not the only fun in store! There will also be a FREE inflatable zone. Thanks to the Cedar Rapids Association of Realtors for sponsoring this fun night!

FREE with your Freedom Festival Button (kids 8 and under are free) - NO LAWN CHAIRS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD. OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES ARE NOT ALLOWED.
