On March 17, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds declared a statewide public health disaster emergency in response to the state's coronavirus outbreak. The proclamation includes the restriction of in-person gatherings of 10 or more people along with the temporary closing of several businesses in the arts, culture and entertainment sector.

Most of the public gatherings listed on the Hoopla calendar are canceled or postponed through the end of April. Please check with event organizers to confirm the status of events you see listed.

Event Description

A planting experience for everyone (even if you’ve not previously had much luck with succulents). We’ll have all the makings assembled. Let us get you a beverage; Step up to the work table; find a cute succulent or cactus; select your pot (featuring artisan crafted Tandem pots in a variety of colors); we will help you set your plant in lovingly with the right soil and top it off with a decorative stone if you so choose. You will learn how to care for and grow your new friend.

Sip and plant workshops include a beverage and all the materials needed to complete the workshop. Pre-registration is required - ticket sales close 2 days prior to the workshop (get your tickets early). $35
