Make a Pendulum
- 2 p.m. to 5p.m. -
- Ages 14+
What better way to celebrate the upcoming Summer Solstice than to make a pendulum? Using stone, chain, and wire, students will create beautiful hanging points. Students will utilize a sampling of important fundamental skills--stringing, crimping, wrapped loops, and wire bails--and learn to use them together to make a swinging pendulum. It can be used for metaphysical practices, play, or simply as a pretty sun catcher. A discussion on how to use them will follow. Instructor: Alyssa Jakowchuk.
Pre-requisite: Ability to make a wrapped loop. Call for a private tutorial.
Registration is $72 and includes all materials and instruction. Register in person, via phone at 319 338-1566, or on-line.
Beading stations are distanced, masks required, and demos done on a large screen TV.
