Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg Dying
- 6 p.m. to 8p.m. -
- All Ages
This class is an informational, hands-on workshop about the practice of making pysanky. Pysanky are real eggs, dyed with a wax-resist method in a traditional Ukrainian style taught by local artist Harper Folsom. An introduction to the art form's history will cover its ancient roots through its perseverance during the Cold War. Participants will spend two classes crafting their own pysanka, which will be hollowed out, preserved, and ready to take home and display! This class will take place over the course of two evenings.
$80 fee includes all materials required for class.
