Event Description

Take time to connect with others in grief and engage the creative spark. Jamie Siela, LISW, and Kristine Shultis, MDiv, LMT, CHT, from Unity Point Hospice facilitate this monthly grief group open to anyone grieving loss through death. On the third Wednesday of each month, come together online to explore a different creative art medium. In January, we will use our time together to decorate a reusable canvas bag. We will use a cardstock silhouette in a pattern of our choice and be creative with paint. We may choose a heart to represent the space in our hearts still held by our loved ones, a peace sign to represent the peace we continue to strive for, or a mourning dove to symbolize a spiritual messenger of peace, love and faith. Registration is required by noon eight days in advance. Group art kits will be mailed one week prior to the session. Please note that this group is now meeting only online. This group is free and includes all art supplies. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at or 319-395-6700.
