Event Description

Take time to connect with others in grief and engage the creative spark. Jamie Siela, LISW, and Kristine Shultis, MDiv, LMT, CHT, from Unity Point Hospice facilitate this monthly grief group open to anyone grieving loss through death. On the third Wednesday of each month, come together online to explore a different creative art medium. In February, we will explore three aspects of our hearts: the physical heart, which miraculously beats; the spiritual heart which helps us intuitively feel and know ourselves; and the emotional heart, which is where we often feel our pain most acutely. We will create a multicolored heart woven with string and beads to represent our journey of the heart. Registration is required by noon eight days in advance. Group art kits will be mailed one week prior to the session. Please note that this group is now meeting only online. This group is free and includes all art supplies. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at or 319-395-6700.
