Event Description

What impact can your yard have on water quality, pollinator habitat, and - most importantly - child health? Come learn about why the research says pesticides and kids don't mix, and the importance of pesticide-free lawn care on environmental health with Good Neighbor Iowa! Free materials and resources (including a Good Neighbor Lawn Sign for attendees!) will be provided.

Good Neighbor Iowa is a statewide, public health education campaign that aims to reduce unnecessary urban pesticide use and to transform lawn culture to encourage appreciation of diverse lawns as a way to protect child health, water quality, pets, pollinators, and biodiversity. M $5; NM $7

Pre-registration is required for this program. We cannot accept walk-in participants. Thank you!
