Honoring the Mothers Forest Bathing Experience
- 6 p.m. to 8p.m. -
- All Ages
Forest Bathing creates time and space for us to connect with this greening and growing time of year and the themes that are present in the land around us: Mid-Spring (Beltane) and Mother's Day. Nature and Forest Therapy has many definitions. At its most basic, it is a slow walk with the land. Forest Bathing is not exercise, hiking or a naturalist style walk. Rather, it is a practice, a way of slowing down, of being present to self and our nature relatives. It is a sensory, body-focused walk with the more-than-human-world. Forest bathing supports mental health and a healthy immune system, together we will bathe in the medicine of the land. Join certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, Emelia Sautter and her practice, Good Medicine, for this event. Please dress for being outdoors for 2 hours. We will only be indoors if there is a thunderstorm or pouring rain. Water bottles, mats or something to sit on are also encouraged.
Pre-registration is required for this program. We cannot accept walk-in participants. Thank you!
