Event Description

Take time to connect with others in grief and engage the creative spark. Jamie Siela, LISW, and Kristine Shultis, MDiv, LMT, CHT, from Unity Point Hospice facilitate this monthly grief group open to anyone grieving loss through death. On the third Wednesday of each month, come together online or in person to explore a different creative art medium. In June, we will create a tree of life weaving. The tree of life symbol represents our personal development, uniqueness and individual beauty. Just as the branches of a tree strengthen and grow upward to the sky, we too grow stronger, striving for greater knowledge, wisdom and new experiences as we move through life. Registration is required by noon nine days in advance. Group art kits will be mailed to those who will be joining online one week prior to the session. Please note at registration if you plan to attend in person or online. This group is free and includes all art supplies. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at or 319-395-6700.
