1 Million Cups Cedar Rapids June 22: The Log Project

The Log Project is a collaborative arts project working to "tell the story of the storm," that is, the Iowa Derecho of August 10, 2020. When environmental catastrophes impact a community people need an opportunity to slow down and to come together to recognize what has happened. They need an opportunity to record the individual stories that make up the larger narrative. Media and reporting address the facts, but only collective art projects can capture lived experience.
