The pirates of penzance

New to Heritage Center, the John and Alice Butler Pipe Organ was dedicated in May 2021. The pipe organ has 3,033 pipes – some of metal construction and others of wood. The largest are wooden – the greatest being 32 feet in length. The smallest pipes are similar in size to a slender drinking straw. The pipe organ has not only been utilized as a practice and recital instrument, but it has also enhanced campus events including worship, convocations, baccalaureate, choir performances, and Christmas at Heritage Center.
