Single Estate Teas

A “single estate” tea is any tea originating from one single tea property or garden, where the makeup of the tea plant’s environment, soil, elevation level, and climate are important factors contributing to the quality and taste of the tea. You will hear about the history and management of four extraordinary tea estates and enjoy tasting yellow, green, oolong and black teas from these unique “terroirs”: Jun Chiyabari (Nepal), Tea Studio (Nilgiri, India), Zealong (New Zealand), Great Mississippi Tea Company (Brookhaven, MS, USA). 

Fee: $25 (includes samples of 12 teas); pay instructor. Tea can be picked up at the Senior Center.
