Iowa Ceramics Center & Glass Studio Summer Youth 1-Day Workshops Glass Caterpillar Garden Stake

Glass Caterpillar Garden Stake: Campers will create a glass caterpillar using pieces of colored glass.  We will teach some warm glass techniques including: how to safely cut glass and how to layer glass to create your desired design.  How you decorate your Caterpillar is all up to you using small pieces of glass!  Participants will also paint their wooden stake to coordinate with your garden or Caterpillar.  Finished projects will measure approximately 2”x5”.

All glass participants must wear closed toed shoes and clothing that covers their legs for glass safety, protective eyewear is provided.  Projects will be dried on our shelves, then fired in our kilns for pick up 3 weeks after camp ends. Glass Summer Camp Workshops are for ages 8-15.
