Evening Centering Prayer at Prairiewoods

Join a supportive group of people for Evening Centering Prayer at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha). This contemplative prayer form assists people in deepening relationships with God or Source of All Being. Each evening invites participants to an opening check-in and two twenty-minute silent, centering sessions. Together, facilitator Judith Smith guides us to relax and attune our body, mind and spirit to the Indwelling Presence. At the end of each gathering, we have an opportunity to share insights regarding our experience and practice. Maybe you’ve practiced centering prayer for years or maybe you are just discovering this form of meditation focused on silent stillness. These centering prayer gatherings serve all! Centering Prayer is offered on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, and sessions stand alone, so you may join any time you are available.
