Tom Garland's Catacombs of Comedy

"Tom Garland's Catacombs of Comedy" is a free weekly stand-up comedy show that runs every Thursday night at 7:30 pm at Classic Event Center in Cedar Rapids IA, hosted and produced by professional comedian Tom Garland. The show features open mic slots for beginners, as well as drop-ins from professional road comics. There's no cover and no two-drink minimum. 

Garland, a Cedar Rapids native, recently returned from living in Las Vegas, NV. He has performed on the Las Vegas Strip at Riviera, Bally's, Linq, Planet Hollywood, Stratosphere and MGM Grand. 

"Tom Garland's Catacombs of Comedy" originated at the Iowa City Yacht Club in 2010 and eventually made it's way to the Nerd Bar Showroom inside Neonopolis on Fremont Street in Las Vegas. Now, it has found a new home in Cedar Rapids: Classic Event Center. The new venue is intimate, elegant, and there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Catacombs promises to give Cedar Rapids visitors and residents alike a unique and top-notch comedic experience.
