Event Description

After fleeing Czechoslovakia in 1939, the Asher family went on to build a highly successful fashion fabric enterprise in London, supplying top designers and fashion houses such as Christian Dior. Lida and Zika Asher were especially celebrated for their Squares, a collection of luxurious printed scarves designed by famous artists such as Henry Moore, Henri Matisse, and André Derain. View a selection of their fabric designs and scarves on loan from the Ascher Family U.S. Archive.
