Event Description

Tag and release a Monarch Butterfly.
Learn about a butterfly’s lifecycle and how Monarchs are tagged, registered, and released to study and protect their migration routes. Receive a certificate with the codes and information on Monarch Watch.

You can tag and release a butterfly.
This is an outdoor family friendly event.

Monarch Release around 2:00 after all monarchs are tagged.

We have a limited number of butterflies and tags available on a first come first serve basis. Please register in advance to reserve your butterfly.

This is an outdoor event in the event of rain we'll move into the greenhouse for this event. Seating is limited feel free to bring your own chair.
