According to the National Fire Protections Association, seniors 65 and older carry twice the risk of injury or death in a fire compared with the general population. Don’t be another statistic! This class will cover a variety of important fire safety information you should know along with steps you can take to help reduce your chances of being the next victim. Attendees will also learn the basics needed to select and properly utilize a fire extinguisher in their home, with the opportunity for all to participate in a hands-on live fire extinguisher demonstration at the end. This program is offered in partnership with TRAIL of Johnson County.
