Will you be eligible for Medicare in the near future? Do you know your options for receiving Medicare benefits? Do you want to better understand how Medicare works with other health insurance options? This two-hour Welcome to Medicare seminar, offered by Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counselors, provides an overview of traditional Medicare benefits (Parts A and B, prescription drug plans (Part D), and Medicare supplements), as well as the growing array of Medicare Advantage plans. As a service of the State of Iowa, SHIIP counselors are trained by the state and do not sell or promote any insurance companies, policies, or agents.
