Event Description

55+ History Center, “Cedar Rapids Then and Now”: Join us for a journey through time with Jenny Thielman from The History Center, as she presents "Cedar Rapids, Then and Now." Through a captivating visual comparison of historic photographs and present-day images, discover how the city's streets, buildings, and businesses have evolved over the years.
Do you have photos or cherished memories of Cedar Rapids from the past? Bring them along for a “Show and Tell”, where you can share your own stories and pieces of history with fellow attendees.  Come celebrate the rich history of Cedar Rapids and connect with others who appreciate its transformation over time!

Bridge to Opportunities meets at 2100 1st Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, directly across from Cottage Grove Place and Cottage Grove Ave.  (This is Refugee City Church, the former Four Oaks building.)  Parking and entrance, including a handicap ramp are at the back of the building.  Questions: Call 319-640-5357.
