Event Description

Take time to be with others in grief and engage the creative spark. Jamie Siela, LISW, and Julie Wehner, LMSW, M.Div, BCC, of Unity Point Hospice facilitate this monthly grief support group open to anyone grieving loss through death. On the third Wednesday of each month, we explore a different creative medium at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha). On July 15, we will create pressed flower bookmarks, allowing us to connect with nature and use beautiful native flowers to make bookmarks and natural flower clippings. This support group is offered as a partnership between Prairiewoods and Unity Point Hospice. Due to COVID-19, this group will meet outside behind the Center. Please wear a mask and respect social distancing. It is free and includes all art supplies. Registration is required by the previous Friday. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
