Event Description

Every week, Lifetree Café-Marion gathers friendly people to experience the intriguing stories of life around us. Stories about the big-and little- stuff that shapes our lives. Family. Friends. Fears. Busyness. Balance. Money. Materialism. Health. Peace. Purpose.

Lifetree Café is a place where people of all faiths and backgrounds gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. We meet every Friday at noon for one hour in the Cafe at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion at 3500 29th Ave. Admission to the 60-minute event is free.

How to navigate unexpected family secrets will be discussed at Lifetree Café on Friday, August 10th at noon.

The program, titled “Family Secrets: What Mama never told us,” features the exclusive filmed story—shot live as events unfolded—of a woman who discovered a missing family member.

“I was going through some paperwork at my parents’ house and found an old, faded form from an adoption agency,” the woman says. “That was the first inkling there was some kind of secret to be told here.”

During the program participants will receive practical tips on handling a wide variety of family secrets.
