Event Description

There is more to balance than meets the

eye, though this is one system that works to

maintain balance. Naturally there is a decline

in balance with age due to changes in different

body systems. Losses of balance can lead to

falls and potentially decreased participation

in the activities that you enjoy most. Luckily,

these body systems can be trained in order to

improve balance and quality of life. The goals

of this class are to educate you on how the body

maintains balance, introduce you to balance

training exercises, and discuss modifiable risk

factors for falls so you can continue to live life

with independence!
