Tubular Herringbone Bracelet through Kirkwood
Learn or hone your tubular herringbone skills to create this slightly undulating bracelet. Varied sizes of Toho beads and colors will be stitched to accentuate the ins and outs of the pattern. 5-sided Beaded Bowl
This project utilizes peyote stitch and unique stitching at the corners. Part 1 of this class will focus on creating multiple components for this beaded bowl. Some components may need to be made in between Parts 1 & 2 of this class—yes, there is homework. Part II of this class will be held on Oct. 25, from noon to 4pm and you will place a focus on connecting components to create the finished bowl. Instructor: Jim Emigh. Opening Reception for the Exhibition
Come see the talents of our customers who met the 15th Annual Bead Challenge. These creative community members took a package with various beads and supplies and designed a variety of items. You will be amazed at the spectrum of work that can be made from the same set of materials. Opening gathering (no food or drink) will be Friday, October 23, 5-7pm. The exhibition will be up through Thursday, Oct. 29. No admissions fee. The picture is of the 2026 kit. The link takes you to the last two years of challenge entries. Glass Bouquet
Part I of this class is making glass flower headpins using a variety of lampworking skills. Techniques include winding glass, dots, pulling, smashing, cutting, swiping, and more. This is a great intermediate lampworking class. Experimentation will be encouraged. Part II of this class, held on Sat. Nov. 7 from 10am-2pm, will be making seed bead “greenery” using French beaded flower techniques. Participants will then put their components together with floral tape and use a small “frog” to display their bouquet. Instructor: Karen Kubby. Prerequisite: Lampworking experience.
