Into the Oneness: Qigong for Energy, Equanimity & Peace at Prairiewoods
<p>Based on age-old Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this gentle and accessible class at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) involves meditative, healing energy and compassion-based standing movement, breath work, visualization, acupressure and seated practice. Facilitator Rev. Dr. Catherine Quehl-Engel will guide us to begin by opening, rebalancing and cultivating Qi (universal life force energy-Spirit) throughout the body’s energy pathways, centers and organs to assist with mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. Wisdom from the Tao Te Ching, TCM Five Element Theory and beyond is sprinkled in to assist your practice of living life with greater ease, peace and harmony with the rest of nature in this One Reality of which we all are part. Holiday Play Land - Friday Nights
<p>Holiday Play Land is a special pop up indoor play space just for this holiday season! We have a variety of holiday themed activities to get you into the holiday spirit. The space will be full of equipment that will get your child moving, during the colder months. Equipment will include ride-on toys, mini workout gear, inflatables, sports fields and much more. Christmas in Kalona

Metta Yoga at Prairiewoods
<p>Experience the healing powers of meditative yoga from the spiritual environment and natural beauty of Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha). Join us as we link our movements with our breath and cultivate strength, flexibility and relaxation through regular hatha-style yoga classes. RYT-200 Hour Certified Yoga Alliance Instructor Heather English offers gentle/beginner’s yoga every Monday and Thursday. 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. are gentle yoga, and 10:45 a.m. is chair yoga. People of all fitness levels and abilities are encouraged to participate whenever available. Heather began practicing yoga for the mental health benefits and became a yoga instructor in order to share these amazing benefits with others. She is inspired by the potential that a regular yoga practice has for impacting so many areas of life. In fact, it was her yoga training that motivated her to begin crafting as a career, to share her crafting with others, and to regularly explore the intersection of yoga and creativity.
