Adventures in Linn County with Brianna Baranowski
<p>Join Swamp Fox Bookstore and the Marion Public Library as we welcome back local author Brianna Baranowski on Thursday, September 19 at 6 pm. Brianna will be sharing fun family-friendly outdoor activities to do in Linn County. Swamp Fox Bookstore will have Brianna's book The Linn County Family Outdoor Guide for sale. Brianna will sign books after the event. Ten percent of all sales made during the event will be donated back to the Marion Public Library.</p> <p>About Brianna Baranowski<br /> Brianna is a mother, naturalist, writer, and educator. Senior Social Hour
<p><span>Join us for a senior social hour at the Marion Public Library on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.! Seniors are welcome to join us for socializing, coffee, and activities. Each week will have a theme with activities provided. Jen believes writing, teaching and beading are political acts. She is represented by Patricia Nelson at Marsal Lyon Literary Agency.<br /> <br /> Her debut young adult novel, THE SUMMER OF BITTER AND SWEET, won a 2022 Govenor General's Literary Award and is a 2023 Stonewall Honor Book, among other accolades. Her newest book THOSE PINK MOUNTAIN NIGHTS is a Junior Library Guild Gold Selection and has four starred reviews. Koch on Thursday, September 26 at 6 pm at the Marion Public Library. </p> <p>Kevin Koch is author of <em>Skiing At Midnight: A Nature Journal</em> <em>from Dubuque County, Iowa</em>; <em>The Driftless Land: Spirit of Place in the Upper Mississippi Valley</em>; and <em>The Thin Places: A Celtic Landscape from Ireland to the Driftless</em>.
