Historic Pet Portraits
<p>Use digital resources to create a historic pet portrait. Registration required. When we ban books, we're closing off readers to people, places, and perspectives. But when we stand up for stories, we unleash the power that lies inside every book. <p>Community members are invited to non-partisan school board candidate forums for Cedar Rapids and Prairie on Tuesday, October 3 in the Beems Auditorium (B) of the Cedar Rapids Library. Questions are submitted by attendees and presented to the candidates by the forum Moderator. The forum for Cedar Rapids School Board candidates will be held from 5:30-6:15 pm, followed by the forum for Prairie School Board candidates from 6:30-7:15 pm. These forums are organized by the League of Women Voters Linn County as part of its mission to inform and empower voters.
