• Pet Day at Santa Village

ONE DAY ONLY!! Don’t miss out! Snag a festive holiday photo with your four-legged friend with Santa on Sunday, December 20th, from 1:00 to 6:00pm at Santa Village for just $5. Pet Night at Santa Village is hosted in partnership with the Iowa Humane Alliance. Santa Village is FREE ADMISSION for all ages. No ticket or RSVP is required. All pet owners will be required to check in upon arrival. Here’s how it works… Human guests and their dogs are invited to Santa Village on Sunday, December 20th, from 3:00 to 6:00pm at Hawkeye Downs. Admission is FREE. This event is open to dogs only. Sorry, no ferrets, cats, snakes, tarantulas, or other animals. All vaccinations must be current and include Rabies, Parvo, Distemper, and Bordetella. Proof of vaccinations must be produced upon request while visiting Santa Village. All guests will be required to sign in upon arrival with their name, phone number, and veterinarian's name. All dogs must remain on a short leash, no more than six (6) feet in length. All dogs must be controlled by their owner/handler at all times while visiting Santa Village at Hawkeye Downs. Any dog acting in an aggressive manner, whether the aggression is directed toward a person or another dog, will be asked to leave. Dogs will not be able to be held by Santa or sit on Santa’s lap. In observance of the giving season, guests at Santa Village are encouraged to stop by any night prior to December 20th and pick up a gift tag on the Iowa Humane Alliance tree. All gift tags have a wish list item ranging from cleaning supplies to pet food to support the efforts of the Iowa Humane Alliance in Eastern Iowa. Join us on December 20th for Pet Night to get a photo with your pet and deliver your holiday gift to the Iowa Humane Alliance! If you are unable to attend Pet Night on December 20th, gifts can be dropped off at the Iowa Humane Alliance during normal business hours. The Iowa Humane Alliance (IHA) works with shelters, rescues, and local volunteers to serve cats, dogs, and rabbits to help with animal overpopulation. IHA envisions a state where all companion animals have safe, long-term homes, where feral cats are valued and protected, and where euthanasia is no longer used as a form of population control.
