One Twenty Six is a classic French American bistro in the heart of Iowa City and has been an Iowa City tradition for 11 years. Located in lively and bustling downtown, you can enjoy a great meal and then a concert, show or the local vibe. Our goal is to provide you with a truly special dining experience. We work with local purveyors to bring you fresh, local and organic food when possible. Our New American cuisine is created daily by Chef Tony Carter-Walsh. The food is strongly influenced by traditional French delicacies. Everything is made in house, starting from the stocks that serve as base to our special sauces and reductions. We don't believe in cutting corners when it comes to good food.
