<p>Give your plant or keys a fun new home by creating a pot made to look like your favorite animal. </p><p>Date: Saturday March 27<sup>th</sup>, 2021</p><p>Time: 10:30–11:30 AM </p><p>Cost: $18/person </p><p><strong>COVID-19 precautions</strong>: in the studio we are observing all COVID-19 precautions by maintaining distance, limiting the studio to 10 people at a time, providing several hand washing stations and sanitizing all surfaces regularly. Anyone that enters the studio must wear a mask. All ceramic wheel workshops are on Mondays, when the studio is closed to the public. All one-day hand building workshops will be held in our dedicated S.T.E.A.M classroom in the Cherry Building. <p>The League of Women Voters and its co-sponsors are inviting citizens to participate virtually in the annual Legislative Forums that begin January 23. The monthly Saturday morning forums of the 2021 Legislative session will be held online to protect participants health.<br><br><strong>To view the live forum from 10:30 - 11:35 am, go to the co-sponsors website and click on LWV Linn County Legislative Forum or view on the League of Women Voters Linn County website. Soul Care: Creative Arts Grief Support Group with Prairiewoods
<p>Take time to connect with others in grief and engage the creative spark. Jamie Siela, LISW, and Christine Wagner-Hecht, MDiv, from Unity Point Hospice facilitate this monthly grief group open to anyone grieving loss through death. On the third Wednesday of each month, come together on Zoom to explore a different creative art medium. Our April project is three-dimensional hand art. The hands that hold our memories are as unique as our personal grief journeys. We will focus our session on creating three-dimensional hand art in colors that are meaningful to our individual experiences and the memories we lift up. We will meet online via Zoom. Group art kits will be mailed one week prior to the session, so registration is required by the previous Tuesday. This group is free and includes all art supplies.
