Traditional Country Dance
<p>Saturday, April 8, 5:00-8:00 pm</p><p>Location: Robert A Lee Rec Center - Social Hall </p><p>Our dances are great for beginners as there is no fancy footwork to learn; the caller tells us what to do and other dancers can help if you get mixed up. Bring a friend or come alone—there are always plenty of people to dance with! Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. This is a combination of the English Country Dance and Barn Dance groups. Founded in 1982, this fun and variety-filled ensemble shares music from a multitude of sources. From Handel to holiday favorites, country to swing, traditional folk music to pop and Broadway standards, a concert by the Voices of Experience promises something for everyone. Join us at 1:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays as we rehearse, learn, laugh, and enjoy ourselves and the whole creative process. Memorization is not required.
