Seminar in collaboration with Foundation 2 and Linn Co. MHAC: When the Topic is Suicide and Faith

Experts from our community will clearly and compassionately guide faith and congregational leaders from within all faiths through the difficult topic of faith, mental health, and suicide. The seminar will include presentations by professional staff from Foundation 2 and the Linn County Mental Health Access Center. A faith leader will share personal experiences on how mental illness has shaped her life and faith journey. A professional from Cedar Memorial will speak to compassionately guide families and friends through the grieving process and communication during difficult times. The seminar will end with a facilitated discussion that focuses on mental health advocacy in communities of faith.
